Welcome to Paced ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the Paced mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Paced is a digital wellness tool designed to help users manage screen time through "pattern interrupts" and physical movement. Paced is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

3. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Paced uses step-tracking functionality to allow users to reduce lockout times.

  • Voluntary Activity: You acknowledge that your participation in any physical activity (such as walking) is voluntary and at your own risk.

  • Not Medical Advice: The Service is for informational and productivity purposes only. Please consult a physician before starting any new exercise routine.

4. Accounts & Subscriptions

To access certain features (Paced Pro), you may be required to purchase a subscription.

  • Free Trial: We may offer a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fee.

  • Billing: All payments are processed through the app store provider (Google Play Store). We do not store your credit card information directly.

  • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your App Store settings. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled directly by the App Store (Google) in accordance with their policies.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose.

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App’s locking mechanisms or code.

  • Harass or harm other users.

6. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Paced makes no guarantees that the App will be error-free or that it will block every specific application or notification perfectly on every device type. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paced shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or our website. Continued use of the App signifies your acceptance of the changes.
